Terms & Conditions

1. Scope of Services

  1. Subbie Help Desk provides quantity take-offs and drawing markups based solely on the project documents provided by the client.
  2. We do not provide cost estimates, pricing, or financial advice.
  3. Our services are for reference only and do not replace the client’s own review, verification, or professional judgment.

2. Accuracy of Information

  1. All take-offs and markups are prepared with reasonable care and professional skill, based on the information supplied by the client.
  2. Subbie Help Desk is not responsible for errors, omissions, or discrepancies in project documents supplied by the client, designers, or third parties.
  3. The client remains responsible for verifying all quantities, dimensions, and materials prior to procurement, tendering, or construction.

3. Limitation of Liability

  1. Subbie Help Desk accepts no liability for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss, including but not limited to loss of profit, revenue, contracts, or opportunities, arising from the use or reliance on Services provided.
  2. If liability is established, it is strictly limited to:
    • the re-performance of the Services, or
    • the amount of fees paid for the Services, whichever is lower.

4. Client Responsibilities

  1. The client must ensure that all drawings, specifications, and project documents provided to Subbie Help Desk are complete and current.
  2. The client is responsible for independently reviewing and confirming all quantities, markups, and details before using them for ordering, tendering, or construction purposes.

5. Variations & Additional Services

  1. Where project information changes (including new drawings, revised specifications, or altered scope), additional fees may apply for updated estimates.
  2. Any request for urgent turnaround or additional tasks outside the agreed scope may be charged at Subbie Help Desk’s prevailing rates.

6. Intellectual Property

  1. All work prepared by Subbie Help Desk (including take-offs, markups, reports, and digital files) remains the property of Subbie Help Desk until payment is received in full.
  2. The client is granted a non-exclusive licence to use the deliverables for the specific project for which they were prepared.

7. Fees & Payment

  1. All fees are payable as invoiced and must be cleared prior to delivery of completed take-offs or markups, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  2. Late or outstanding payments may result in withholding of documents until payment is received.

8. Indemnity

  1. The client indemnifies and holds harmless Subbie Help Desk from any claims, damages, or expenses (including third-party claims) arising from the use or reliance on Services provided.
